The '68 Center for Career Exploration is the career center at Williams College. Is a resource where students can ask questions and get help and advice concerning their prospective professional paths.
I was a Communications Assistant at the Williams College Career Center.
1 \\ Focus Groups Research Initiative
I conduct many student interviews to document feedback from students for the Career Center on how to improve its resources. One major initiative I facilitated and planned were the Career Center's Focus Groups Research Initiative.
This Focus Groups initiative was to inform a larger user research project in the re that happened the first week of March 2021.
I reached out to 64 students in total, 16 students from each class year (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior classes). 8 out of the 16 are selected from the rooster of students who don't currently have EphLink and/or Handshake accounts (platforms the Career Center promotes for student to receive career opportunities and sign up for events) , and the other other are from a rooster of students who are have been involved with the Career Center and have EphLink and/or Handshake accounts.
Of these 64, we anticipated up to 40 students (10 from each grade) to participate. These students were offered an incentive of $15 Amazon gift cards and students were accepted to participate on a first come, first serve basis.
In the first week of March, I led these focus groups, broken up into 20 freshmen/sophomores and 20 juniors/seniors and ask them questions about the Career Center and record their feedback.
The goal of these Focus Groups is purely for the Career Center to listen to the students in order to better improve its programming!

2 \\ Student Marketing Campaigns
— EphLink Marketing
In December, I sent out an email inviting a rooster of "EphLink Power Users" (students who are the most active on EphLink to participate in an EphLink marketing campaign).
Students were asked to submit a quote or video of how EphLink has positively impacted their professional pursuits, along with an optional photo of them.
We plan to use all the responses to promote EphLink to students and encourage them to take the initiative in using the platform to network and reach out to Williams' alumni network.
— ASIP Newsletter
Another campaign we are running is a newsletter that will feature selected students who participated in the Alumni Sponsored Internship Program (ASIP).
These students will be asked to fill out a fill in the blanks questionnaire to reflect on their internship experiences. These questionnaires would all then be featured in a newsletter to be pushed out on social media and sent out to all through a mass email.
3\\ Web Design
I use Wordpress to build pages and manage the Career Center's website. I create pages considering what would be the most convenient and easily accessible to students.
